There is a proposal for reinsurance that would cover catastrophic health expenses rising above $30,000. This article summarizes several proposals that may make it to congress. It is confusing issue to me as a doctor, let alone patients. This would do nothing to solve the basic problem of providing equal accessible health care to all Americans.
